Much to my surprise, the concealer lasts for hours even with a slippery sunscreen base underneath. I think that the Medium Peach shade might be more effective at concealing my undereyes. I love how it’s not too yellow and doesn’t have that “brightening” effect that I think adds a ghostly white cast. While the color selection is limited, Light/Medium Beige is a good match for my skin. Typically, I’ll use one concealer to correct the darkness and use another concealer to achieve the coverage and finish that I want. My usual undereye concealing involves using two concealers so I didn’t expect the Photo Focus Concealer to cure my dark eyes. Unsurprisingly, the Photo Focus doesn’t completely hide my undereye bags, but it does offer some coverage which isn’t too bad. What I really look for in concealers is undereye coverage. It does well at covering blemishes and redness. I would describe this concealer as having medium coverage and can be built up to full coverage. Light/Medium Beige swatched on top and blended out below Coverage/ Color While I don’t usually use eye cream before concealing, I find that the thickness of the cream helps the concealer blend easier without sacrificing coverage. I like to apply a layer of eye cream to my undereyes before going in with the Photo Focus. If you moisturize and prep your face before applying your concealer, this concealer should be no problem to use. I had trouble blending it and didn’t like the texture on my skin.Īs I kept testing out this concealer I found that applied over my sunscreen, it blended out well. This concealer was thicker than what I had originally expected- I thought this would be runnier and thinner, similar to the Maybelline Fit Me.
Overall, it’s standard concealer packaging and nothing terribly exciting. The concealer requires a lot of twisting to remove the cap, but that’s just me being really picky. The doe foot on this concealer is larger than what I’m used to and deposits product easily. The concealer comes in a short rectangular tube with a black cap and black trimming along the opening. While I haven’t investigated this claim, I have made some observations of my own. The Photo Focus Concealer is supposedly tested under several different indoor and outdoor lighting conditions to combat the dreaded photo flashback. I’m happy to report that the newer Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer in Light/Medium Beige is quite a step up from that old stick concealer. The first time I tried a Wet n Wild concealer was back when they had the little concealer sticks that I believe are now discontinued. Overall Wet n Wild concealer have light weight formula which is easy to blend, providing light to medium coverage which is perfect for every day natural look. The lasting powder is also very good and it lasts for more then 6 hours with out creasing. If you have very dry skin you might find wet n wild concealer bit difficult to work with but you can cope up with this issue buy proper moisturizing and applying primer. Depending on your skin you can pick either of them but the price of wet n wild is hard to resist.
While Maybelline concealer is more creamy, easy to apply and is comfortable for all skin. It is good every day concealer when you need more natural look then heavy weight.Ĭomparing to Maybelline fit me concealer, wet n wild one is thicker, dries quickly and have slight more coverage. The formula looks very natural without setting into fine lines. The coverage is light to medium and can be build to little more with layering but still the coverage is less then Wet n Wild come correct celebrity concealer. Beside being creamy, it is easy to spread and blend which is also light weight.
The texture of this product is bit thick creamy which dries quickly into matte giving the powder finish. On the other hand the shade looks dark in tube but after application it is bit lighter. The shade have slight peach and more yellow undertones which is very good for dark under eyes. The lightest shade ivory is not very fair and the second shade which i picked Light/Medium Beige which falls in category of more medium beige then light. The shade selection is not very good and i have seen fair skin beauties to complain that they cannot find their match. This concealer comes in square plastic tube with doe foot applicator for application which is quite similar to Maybelline fit me concealer.
